Instron offers three levels of EXTEND Upgrade packages for electromechanical test systems, each designed to meet
your budget and the demands of your test application.
3300 EXTEND Packages
For 4200/4400 testing systems
- 3300 Electronics
Standard 3300 package features include integrated closed loop control and data acquisition electronics, crosshead extension and load measurement channels, and one-step self-identification, calibration and balance of load and strain. Optional strain channels (maximum 2) can be added to software based systems.
The 3300 upgrade is ideal for those operating in a QC environment, running standardized and general purpose mechanical tests. The 3300 EXTEND package is Instron’s affordable solution for upgrading 4200 and 4400 series instruments.
5500 EXTEND Package
- 5500 Electronics
Premium electronics package features advanced DSP technology
to provide high accuracy and fast response. The 5500 upgrade
is a modular design that is easy to install and provides options
such as additional strain cards, multi-channel data acquisition,
and analog outputs. The 5500 electronics is ideal for those
requiring high accuracy, improved test control and simple cyclic
and test profiling capability.

Bluehill 2 software is a fully integrated software package featuring
six major application modules for a wide range of static and
cyclic testing.
5800 EXTEND Package
- 5800 Electronics
Instron's most advanced testing control electronics is designed
to meet the most demanding test applications. The 5800 upgrade,
like the 5500 package, is a modular design that is easy to install
and provides options such as additional strain cards, multi-channel
data acquisition, and analog outputs. The 5800 electronics are
ideal for those requiring ultra-high performance and data acquisition,
flexible application development, and an open architecture for
user programming.

FastTrack software allows for advanced cyclic and user-defined
loading profiles with the flexibility to develop custom programs.
Bluehill 2 software is a fully integrated software package featuring
six major application modules for a wide range of static and
cyclic testing.
